When the freaks come out
No weaks come out
For fear of the night
Where things are seen you don’t want to see
Not trying to be mean
But it’s no place for a queen
So young lady put away your goods
Out in the night you’ll
Never be understood
The streets only use you, abuse you,
And throw you away
Not caring if you
Survive another day
Haven’t you heard?
There’s blood on the street
No place to plant your feet
Trying not to get caught up in heat
No place for a queen without
A real team
They don’t care about you
Playing with your head
And trying to screw
Your mind up
Their so corrupt
Actions all abrupt
So young lady let’s find the peace
Cause the violence won’t cease
It will only increase
Can’t you see your losing your
Innocence
You will be wondering later
Where your life went
Don’t you see the tears in your
Mother’s eyes
The inhales your
Grandmother sighs
The cries of them calling your name
“Olivia, Olivia” the streets are no game
It’s just not the same
They won’t lead to your fame
But your name may be in the news
Your family singing the blues
It’s the path you choose
Trying to pay all your dues
This is no place for a queen
All shades and creeds
Be weary of those with greed
Try wiping your eyes and smile so bright
This is no place for a queen in the night
Be weary of those with greed
Try wiping your eyes and smile so bright
This is no place for a queen in the night
